리치 라이오넬의 노래로
이 영화 <리오>의 어쩌면 주제곡일 수도 있다.

영화 앞부분에 블루와 주얼의 대면식에도 쓰였고

뒷부분에 툴리오와 린다가 의상을 입고 마주 대하는 장면에서도 쓰이고 있다.

도무지 문법에 맞지 않는 이 문장...
어떻게 해석할 것인가...가 내 숙제였다.

say you로만 검색해봤고
say me로도 검색해봤지만
딱히 답이 정확지가 않았다.
물론...국내 사이트에서 말이다.

웃기게도 자기 나라말, 곧 영어권의 사람들 조차 이 말 뜻을 이핼 못하는 것 같았다.
무튼...우리나라 각 사이트, 블로그에서 이 노래 가사를 번역된 것들도 다 엉성하고 믿을 게 못되었기에....

Well, I can tell you one thing... "Say you, say me" (even though it doesn't make sense) pretty much means that he wants himself and his girlfriend to say "yes" to THEMSELVES, to affirm THEIR relationship. Don't ask me what the other lyrics mean... lol.

I like the song, but I don't really understand the meaning..
What exactly does "Say you, say me" means?
And why is that "Say it for always" and "Say it together, naturally"?
And how can a masquerade be played? Maybe it has different meaning in the 80s?

Ah,I'm too stupid to figure it out.Hope someone can answer me.

My favorite lines in the song:

I'm pretty sure this is a love song- (as many songs are)
The words "I love you" however is never mentioned in the song.
but if you fill it in after each "say you..." "say me..."
then the song suddenly makes sense.
The rest of the lyrics allude to love of a deep friendship sort not the carnal lust type.

결국, 생략된 것은 I love you 이며 이것이 it 이란 것인데...
서로의 사랑을 확인하자는 것이다.
중요한 건 의미 전달보단
내가 추구하는 가사와 맞아 떨어지는 우리 말이다.

사랑해 사랑한다 말 듣고싶어
자연스럽게 같이 그렇게 말하자구

란 뜻인데 ;;;
어렵다.
